This route involves some tough climbs and some sections where you’ll have to get off and push but it’s worth it for the nice loose techy descents and stunning views. I enjoyed all the descents but particularly liked the last one that spits you out close to the car park at the Flotterstone Inn. It had a really nice flow to it!
The weather was a bit mental and at times the wind nearly blew me off although once I got to the top of the first hill (west kip), I was treated to some glorious sunshine.
I parked at the Flotterstone Inn and cycled up the road past the two reservoirs, then took a left after a small white house. After you cross a small burn you will be on the path that will take you up to the top of the first hill. Once you’re at the top, it’s pretty hard to get lost but if you want to see the exact route you can check it out over on trailforks.
The route took me about 2.5 hours with some stops to take photographs.
I really enjoyed it and will definitely be doing it again.
