I decided to head up and do the Glen Dochart / Kirkton Glen route at the weekend then tag on the new hand built trails lower down in Kirton Glen just to add a little spice to a bleak day. The usual cycle track spin and trundle along the old railway in Glen Dochart was followed by the wet and boggy climb up to Lochan an Eireannaich. The descent from Rob Roy’s stone consisted of slippery grass and treacherously greasy rocks but as usual was a total hoot. Picking the left hand fireroad when the singletrack ends takes you down to the new trails in the forest (Where you have to look out for the entrance) Well built and flowing, they aren’t too difficult but they do provide a nice finish to the day. Easily accessible from behind big Rab Roy’s grave but too short to provide a day’s sport on their own so you might have to go around them again. Watch this space for future trails.

No action pics as this was a solo ride 🙁
