Took my first bad tumble.

Went to Comrie Croft today to try it out for the first time. Fantastic place trails are excellent. Unfortunately I took my first bad fall and it was a belter. Sitting tonight with two broken ribs and a few scrapes but I think I'm lucky to be here if you look at my helmet. I bounced off a large rock with my head. The helmet was only three days old. Unfortunately Fox don't have a replacement policy.

The helmet split in two.

But we live and learn. And I walked away. Unlike the guy behind me that went home in an ambulance with flashing blues.

Better to be out of pocket with a broken helmet than to have a broken head.

Hope you heal up well and are back on the bike before too long

Sorry to hear about the crash and glad the helmet did its job. Are you sure about that with Fox? I'm sure I got a 50% discount on a new helmet when I cracked one of theirs. Was a few years ago now right enough.

Bontrager do a full free replacement helmet if you crash and damage it within the first year if you're buying a new one might be worth checking them out.

IXS don't have a replacement policy either, but when I damaged mine a few months ago I went to the LBS where I'd bought it and with their help and assistance got a discount from the distributor. Might be worth trying that route

Glad to hear the helmet worked
