Hi all,

http://www.nofussevents.co.uk/event/Highland-Perthshire-Enduro/2956/

I noticed that entries for this are still very low (in contrast to the Tweedlove Enduro!).
I have just put in an entry and would encourage local bikers to support it.
Last year the 10@Kirroughtree was cancelled due to a lack of early entrants.
Wouldn't want the same to happen to this.

cheers,
Graeme

They need to get a grip with the entry fee, then they might get some entries in.

It's cheaper than the Glentress 7.
Presumably the POC Enduro was the same and it's sold out, so it can't just be down to price.

it's not cheaper than GT7 but I would expect far more value for money at GT7 than that event. Not that I'm saying GT7 is a bargain, it's not.

Dawn may have touched on a good point though, I'm not even sure what an Enduro consists of tbh but doesn't sound like it is suited to all skill levels where GT7 is I guess.

I'm tempted to enter, but having been down the Craigvinean Downhill track on the Zaskar, am concerned about what may be in store.

Oh when I say I've been down it, it involved a fair bit of scrambling.

Although it seemed fairly easy after the fire road crossing i wasn't really on any of the actual trails.

Oh dear - maybe I should ask for my money back! :problem:
I've never done an enduro, but since it's nearby thought I'd give it a try.

If it's "proper" downhill I'll be in trouble too.
If it's Nevis Red / GT Black I'm OK.

I've entered this one. Sounds like it will be a laugh. I hadnt considered that it would be a technical kind of thing, just a laugh...eep! No practice for it either, so it will just a case of turn up and try not to die I think.

i think 58km is what puts some people off. That's not what I understand as enduro.

That's 40 miles in old money which is a lot of cycling for most people

I guess that is 58km including the link stages, and that the timed stages will be a small fraction of that. Sounds like a long day right enough, but no doubt it will be a good one.

I think it's a good point that there is uncertainty about format/difficulty.
I'll e-mail no-fuss and try to get some info.

agreed - no practise as well. People won't enter without at least knowing what to expect.

No practice session, 'long' (?!) distance and uncertainty about the technical nature of it all. 😯

Where do I sign up? 😉

Sounds like the same format as Tour of Ben Nevis, same organisers too.
