Ho Chi Minh, Choker and Anderson Rd are closed for felling until end of September. Doesn't look like HCM will be affected after though, but it might feel a bit exposed. Also looks like some felling is due to take place in Blue Velvet soon as trees have been marked up.

Been closed for about a month. They are hoping to be done sooner than End Sept. Fingers crossed it doesn't affect anything good.

On the 7 stanes website it says something about an alternative route up to spooky wood, where's the diversion before I drive out there on thursday.

Cheers, Allen.

There weren't any alternative routes yesterday.

I think it must mean alternative to Anderson Road ie you can do the usual Red climb including Spooky Wood etc

What Dawn said, the usual route to Spooky is fine, its just the other route to Spooky that is not available.

Looks like some of the restrictions have been lifted.

Can anyone confirm that the Black route up to the Mast is now open?

Hi all
didn't want to start a new thread,
off to GT this weekend and was wondering if anybody's been lately and what the trail conditions are like.

I think that the only things off limits now are some of the secret trails - Ho Chi Minh and the Choker. Otherwise everything is open and rideable although it might be a bit puddly in certain places. As usual, the drainage on the Black trail is an issue so wear your waterproof shorts if it rains beforehand and you're planning to do that.

There's a trail update on the following page, look at the right hand panel and scroll down a bit - http://7stanesmountainbiking.com/Glentress---Innerleithen
