Conic Hill

Cycled up the WHW to the top of Conic Hill and back yesterday for the first time since last year. They've almost finished resurfacing the Conic Hill path and it's night and day compared to how it used to be! I'd say it's now about 80% rideable on the way up, if you are happy with some step-ups. There are a load of new drainage ditches and the new surface is much smoother, while still a wee bit technical in places. Most of the drainage channels are not the gaps you need to bunny-hop over, but instead they act as a step-up on the way up and a nice drop/jump on the way back down 😎

Actually bumped into the guys working on the path and thanked them for their hard work  I didn't go all the way over to Balmaha but they said they've done that side too.

Yip, me too!. A cracking wee evening ride, hopefully the rain will wash it away soon enough.

Give it a try guys . . . It's still good fun as you can use all the new drainage channels for drops/jumps. I agree it was more technical for the descent before, but I really like the fact that it's now rideable on the way up - anything that saves pushing/carrying for me is a winner!! 😀
