I finally got my butt into gear and started the build of the 2003 steel HT that I was given F.O.C, have had the parts all collected for it lying in my shed for about 5 months… just need to fit the 10sp chain and then hook up the gear cable….. built it as a 1×10 with 34t narrow/wide chainring and chain device, tyres are continental 26×2.35, brakes are Clarks M2’s (cost ÂŁ34 for a complete set incl rotors and bolts).

wheels were 2nd hand as was the Reba forks (they came off my old Trek 4500 HT), seatpost was new, saddle/pedals came from the old trek… Zee cranks/BB bought 2nd hand from Pinkbike…looking forward to trying it soon…

Hmmm…. would this be “Sasquatch Scott”….. or “over the bars like superman, and land like a bouncing bomb” Scott…hahahahahaha

the finished article out on the trails.
