Acharn Farm Wigwams

The Farm is off the beaten track but is still convenient for Oban and Fort William. There is direct access from the Farm drive to the Duror Forest with its miles of rough tracks. There are just 2 wigwams on the site with a modern shower/toilet/kitchen block so you can relax in the evenings in comfort!

For the more serious Biker, Aonoch Mor downhill track is “the” one to do, but there is also the Nevis Range forest and the Witch’s Trails. Bikes of all descriptions can be hired from the Range shop.

Locally the new Cycle Track is currently under construction with large areas done, and quite superb and safe biking is to be had along the lochside – you can either go towards Oban and the Sea Life Centre, or go the other way into Glencoe.

For a family day out, hire bikes are available both from Glencoe village, or Port Appin Bikes and a short ferry takes you over to Lismore where you can spend a day sightseeing, with lime kilns, coves, and tracks to the beach. There is a great Café midway along the island for the lunch stop.

Wigwams are £30 per night for 2 adults and bikes can be washed and stored safely here as well.
